4. Grand opening of d'skin x Shou Slimming Centre

Recently i was invited to the grand opening of d'skin & Shou Slimming centre's newest outlet at The Seletar Mall and they were generous enough to host me for a session of LPG Endermologie which is one of the treatments they offer at their centre. 

To put simply, this treatment helps improve skin circulation, contour the body and reduce the appearance of cellulite. Lipomassage helps to eliminate stubborn fat that exercise and dieting cannot get rid of. Sounds pretty ideal for people who are either lazy or have a really busy schedule which i believe somehow or another, we would fall into either or both categories.

All these photos might look familiar as i've been to this outlet 3 times and i'm really digging the whole ambience and interior. If you might be wondering, d'skin and Shou Slimming centre are both located side by side (what a dream come true ain't it??)

We would have to fill up a form which would enable the specialist to better understand what our concerns for our body are. On a side note, i guess this is how i look signing papers (looks pretty legit i feel HAHA).

Cheers to comfy couches and no crowds!! If i may also just add, their customer service is really top notch. They had my drink prepared when i arrived, immediately placed my bag into the lockers and ushered me right to the couches. I mean if this isn't excellent service standards, i don't know what is.

The entire treatment lasted about an hour. Not gonna lie, it was not a painless process but that's only because some parts of my body (my thighs especially) had poorer blood circulation. The specialist mentioned that it could be due to me crossing my legs pretty often at work. Who knew crossing of legs would cause poor blood circulation? Gotta keep your posture in check all the time. 

Besides reducing the appearance of cellulite, they also have this part where they use the machine to lift your butt for a perkier appearance. You know your girl here have to ask the specialist to focus on that *winks*. 

All in all, i do see slight results after the first session. I felt that was my skin was tighter as compared to before. To see obvious results, you would definitely have to go back for more sessions just like for facials.

They do have other treatments available at the centre as well (they even sell slimming coffee), do call them to find out more!

3. Back with d'skin

Guess who's back... back again? It's your girl and i'm back with dskin after a good 3 months?!? This time around, i dropped by the newly opened outlet at Seletar Mall! I wasted no time to get a skin analysis and it was clear that my skin was in desperate need of hydration hence i was recommended the hydration and lifting treatment once again. I guess all the late nights due to work and school has taken its toll on my skin sigh. 

Loved the outlet's interior and ambience but what stood out for me without a doubt was the warm & friendly attitude of the consultants. It was close to 7.30pm when i reached the outlet and they greeted me with a smile and offered to carry all the bags of stuff i was holding once i stepped foot in the premise. Getting your customer service right is so important in the service industry and i must say, d'skin got this point in the bag.

Skin analysis which took less than 10 mins to get the results!

Oh yes you have no idea how the facial bed looks after a long day at work, i literally dived into the bed (if that is even possible hmm)

Initially i was just casually chatting with my consultant but i fell asleep probably like 15 mins into the treatment? It wasn't because i was tired, it was just that the facial was too relaxing i couldn't help it! By this point i was already sleeping like a log. 

Here's all the products used for the facial. You already know it ain't easy to maintain good complexion in such a humid weather like Singapore. Props to all my sisters and brothers who has clear and hydrated skin.

Can't stress the importance of taking care of your skin, especially to all my ladies out there (when i say this i'm actually reminding myself as well). Yes, you might be busy with work/school/life but please don't neglect your skin. Remember to pamper yourself!

(Just a tip: book your appointment at either one of the heartland outlets and after normal work hours, you will thoroughly enjoy it like i did!)

2. The unicorn life (my hair journey)

Waddup i'm back with the 2nd post of this blog hope i can keep this going. Well this post is for whoever that's curious about my ever changing hairstyles haha.

In 2010:

Most people don't know this but i actually shaved off one side of my hair just like Dara from 2ne1 back when they were promoting "I love you".

Of course i didn't look as good as she did but come on show me some love. Really loved the look but on the downside tho, i looked pretty ridiculous while trying to grow my hair. Would really love to show some photos but i can't seem to find any )': I guess it's pretty apparent that i have tendency of doing crazy shit with my hair all in the name of fashion haha.

2011:

Was in JC couldn't do nothing too crazy. The craziest was probably all the hairstyles i would tie everyday. I believed i had on different hairstyles every day of the week.

2012:

Uneventful year coupled with boring hair lol.

2013:

A better year but still with boring hair.

2014:

In April i had the opportunity to be part of the Goldwell Colourzoom hair show which saw me bleaching my hair for the first time and achieving a brown colour which i sometimes miss 

Then in June i was the model for my hairstylist Yuu Jin for an international hairstyling competition and went blonde + spotted an uneven fringe which till date i can't believe i did it. After a few rounds of bleaching this was the colour!

Final product for the shoot! Took probably 6 hours for 2 consecutive days in the salon to achieve this look (was really crazy). This is by far my favourite colour and i would honestly love to go back to this colour.

Then i went to a dark copper colour due to a job obligation where it quickly faded back to blonde (not even complaining)

In August i actually went back to exactly the same hairstyle as i had in June but most people i know couldn't even tell the difference (probably blonde is just blonde to them??) Bleached my brows too!

The roots grew out so quickly it wasn't even funny before you know it i had to go for another colour and this time i went for... granny hair! Sadly it faded back to blonde even before i could take any decent photos.

By then, it was already the end of the year and i was feeling the need of new fresh coat of colour and decided to go for something more subtle. Went for a golden orange type of colour which i really loved as well.

2015:

Of course there's no surprise that this colour too, faded back to blonde. Are you getting bored already??? Haha. This time i went for a pink colour!

P.S. I'm always on the lookout for new opportunities to try out new hair colour/ hairstyles (call me hair salons *winks*)

1. Achieve the skin with d'skin

Hi my peoples i'm finally back to blogging after what seems to be forever and hopefully i would continue doing so *cross fingers*

When it comes to beauty, i'm a huge advocate of the importance of skincare. Problem is that these days we are flooded with a ton of skincare brands/services which all look so darn attractive and honestly even i have such a hard time deciding which brand to start with.

Recently, i was introduced by the lovely Christine to dskin where she invited me down to one of their outlets (in this case i chose the Toa Payoh outlet, they have 4 outlets by the way!) to try out their highly raved facial treatment. 

Before the facial, i had a skin analysis done on the spot for me which i thought was pretty interesting. It allowed me to track the pH level, hydration, sebum, elasticity and melanin of my skin, all of that in just under 15 minutes! I shall just let the pictures do the talking!

Obviously the pictures are not clear enough for you to see what's going on but in this picture above my consultant, Yuki was telling me how my skin was considered to be pretty dry for someone who is my age... oh well guess i gotta step up my skincare game (any recommendations?? Help a sister out!)

After the analysis, Yuki decided that a hydrating and lifting facial would be best suited for my skin condition so i just went with it! No pictures for that though because i was honestly just enjoying the facial and completely forgotten about taking pictures.

So apparently Yuki kept the mask which was used to remove my white and blackheads. Not too sure if you can see it clearly but your girl here does have a ton of whiteheads it's actually pretty bad haha (sorry if the pic was a little disturbing)

Got to check out some of their products after the facial as well!

All in all it was a wonderful experience and if you happen to be on a lookout for a trusted skincare brand to take good care of your skin, look no further!
